We are looking to fill multiple Product Owner 4 roles within Home Lending's Product Strategy and Delivery Team.  These roles will support Home Lending's Servicing are Line of the business.

The Product Owner is responsible for product planning.  This includes managing the product throughout the Product Lifecycle, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, defining the product vision, and working closely with agile teams to deliver value.  It also includes working with support partners to ensure revenue, customer satisfaction goals and outcomes are met in alignment with the company's overall strategy and goals.

The Product Owner is expected to:

  • Define product strategy and roadmap
  • Deliver prioritized features and corresponding justification
  • Be an expert with respect to the competition
  • Develop the core positioning and messaging for the product
  • Perform product demos to customers
  • Propose an overall budget to ensure success

Leadership and credibility will be determining factors in the selection. Successful candidates will be articulate and possess a demonstrated leadership capability. It requires a leader with strong relationship management, influencing, and vision.

Location preference is West Des Moines, IA; San Antonio, TX; Fort Mill, SC; or Charlotte, NC; Chandler/Phoenix, AZ; or Minneapolis, MN.

Required Qualifications

  • 6+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery or agile product owner



Desired Qualifications

  • Mortgage industry experience
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Ability to evaluate risks and the impact of decisions on an overall organization
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Facilitation skills, including ability to facilitate decision-making and broker agreements amongst diverse, differing, and/or conflicting perspectives/priorities
  • Knowledge and understanding of Agile
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Experience communicating and presenting complex information to multiple levels of the organization
  • Experience synthesizing group discussions into concise, concrete bullet points and guiding abstract dialogue into actionable themes



Job Expectations

  • This position requires compliance with all mortgage regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements including acceptable background check investigation results. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
