We are currently hiring a Dishwasher in Brooklyn, NY.
Responsible for ensuring both BOH and FOH areas are clean, safe and fully supplied throughout a given shift, the Dishwasher/Porter should ideally take great pride in delivering unparalleled experiences and value teamwork, integrity, and professional development at Coney Island Brewery.
Should be a committed, communicative team player with excellent time management skills, and able to prioritize tasks in a busy setting while adhering to all food and safety regulations and procedures.
What You'll Do:
Scrape and rinse food from dirty dishes and wash dishes by hand, place them in racks or on conveyor to dishwashing machine as directed, ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Wash pots, pans, and trays based on assigned procedures ensuring complete cleanliness and sanitation.
Assist with all food preparation duties as needed.
Polishing silver of kitchen machinery and ensuring ongoing cleanliness and sanitation.
Must ensure compliance with outlined safety procedures.
Must maintain temperatures and chemical levels as outlined by provided standards.
Must keep dish area orderly and in compliance with safety standards.
Sweep and mops kitchen floors to ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
Wash worktables, walls, refrigerators, meat blocks, and other food prep surfaces.
Remove trash and place it in designated containers. Steam cleans or hoses out garbage cans.
Transfer supplies and equipment between storage and work areas.
Help load and unload supplies and products.
Responsible for assisting bar-staff and others as needed.
Provide routine inspections of restrooms and help ensure they remain clean and fully-stocked before, during, and after shifts.
Help clean and reset taproom tables and floor as needed, including spot sweeping and emptying of trash receptacles.
Help with opening and closing duties, setting up and breaking down the bar.
Helping restocking keg-cooler as needed and assisting with changing kegs
Clean and refill glassware, clean the bar top, and restocking bar during service.

What We're Looking For:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Previous service industry experience in a high-volume environment is a plus.
Familiarity with and passion for craft beer is a plus.
Full weekend availability required
