The group includes Home Lending, Auto, Credit Cards, Retail & Merchant Services, Personal Lending, Consumer Lending Control, and Consumer Lending Shared Services.

The Consumer Lending team partners with other businesses across Wells Fargo to create and deliver transformational experiences that help customers gain access to credit. The vision for the Consumer Lending business is to leverage technology and data to make it simple for customers to easily access credit when and where they need it. Consumer Lending serves customers across the country through our distribution network of more than 5,300 retail banking branches and Home Lending offices as well as online and digital channels.

The Analytic Consultant 3 position is within the Cards & Retail Services (CRS) Product Analytics team. This individual will leverage data-driven approaches to analyze, uncover, and present key insights to the credit card business team that will allow them to make better informed decisions in managing their products. This individual will provide analytics support in a broad range of areas related to credit card products including card acquisition strategy, portfolio management, and other credit card growth initiatives. 

This is a highly cross functional role and the team member will have the opportunity to collaborate with partners across the organization. We are seeking a high energy individual with strong communication skills and analytic abilities, who will be excited to bring their own knowledge and perspectives that will help the business continually grow.

Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Consulting and performing very complex analyses/ analysis design involving data mining from multiple sources
  • Performing reporting and analysis of findings and trends using statistical and/or financial analysis, modeling, etc.
  • Communicating findings and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership
  • Collaborating with cross functional teams on key business initiatives
  • Assist with other CRS analytics as needed

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both demonstrated through work or military experience; or a BS/BA degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, physics, accounting, finance, economics, econometrics, computer sciences, or business/social and behavioral sciences with a quantitative emphasis and 3+ years of reporting experience, analytics experience, or a combination of both
  • 2+ years of SAS experience
  • 3+ years of SQL experience

Desired Qualifications

  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • 1+ year of Tableau experience
  • 2+ years of credit card industry experience
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Other Desired Qualifications
  • Ability to consult with a wide variety of stakeholders while performing complex analysis
  • Demonstrated experience compiling and preparing executive summaries and presentations for management and senior leaders
  • 2+ years of experience utilizing analytical capabilities in one or a combination of the following: assessing disparate financial data, market research reports, product development, or forecasting
  • A Master's degree or higher
