How will you make an impact?
The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of hourly employees within a fabrication or assembly environment. The primary responsibilities include day-to-day oversight of departmental goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, & Productivity goals.

What will you do?

Responsibilities: Additional duties may include, but are not limited to:

First Line Supervision

• Staffing- Labor forecasting, Planning, Interview/Selection, Time Card Administration, Temporary Staffing, & OT Management
• Employee Development- Individual Development Plans, Providing Coaching, , oversee plans, coaching, disciplinary actions, Training
• Performance Management- Annual Goal Setting & Reviews, Managing Disciplinary Actions

Production Planning

• Scheduling- Service Prioritization & RMA
• Material Flow- FAIs, EC Process Management
• Demand/Capacity/Delivery Management
• Inventory Management- E&O, Cycle Counts, Kanban Management, & Bill of Material Audits

Process Improvement & Project Management

• Oversee continuous improvement (PPI) initiatives/activities within the department
• Coordinate capital projects & equipment maintenance

Safety

• Program management & compliance within department
• Conduct regular audits/GEMBA walks & implement improvements identified
• Maintain active JSRs (Job Safety Requirements) for the department
• Define & drive safety initiatives
• Oversee & drive 5S program

General

• Performs all duties using required safety procedures and equipment according to company policies and practices within guidelines of ISO standards, quality, and safety.
• Maintains clean and organized work area that supports co-workers as well as safety and efficiency.
• Communicates effectively with other departments to relay key information.
• Open to and asks for suggestions of others regarding production issues and goals.
• Performs all job duties consistent with the Code of Ethics and the 4-I Values, serves as a role model in the workplace.
• Trains and mentors new employees or transitioning workers in the area.
• Utilizes computer systems to check e-mail, complete on line training and complete Performance Management and Development (PMD) annual review process for self and team.

How will you get here?

• High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or similar (Preferred)
• 4+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
