This role will be based at our Asheville, NC site.
How will you make an impact? The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of hourly employees within a fabrication or assembly environment. The primary responsibilities include day-to-day oversight of departmental goals for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, & Productivity goals.
What will you do?
Responsibilities: Additional duties may include, but are not limited to:
First Line Supervision
Staffing- Labor forecasting, Planning, Interview/Selection, Time Card Administration, Temporary Staffing, & OT Management
Employee Development- Individual Development Plans, Providing Coaching, , oversee plans, coaching, disciplinary actions, Training
Maintain active JSRs (Job Safety Requirements) for the department
Define & drive safety initiatives
Oversee & drive 5S program
General
Performs all duties using required safety procedures and equipment according to company policies and practices within guidelines of ISO standards, quality, and safety.
Maintains clean and organized work area that supports co-workers as well as safety and efficiency.
Communicates effectively with other departments to relay key information.
Open to and asks for suggestions of others regarding production issues and goals.
Performs all job duties consistent with the Code of Ethics and the 4-I Values, serves as a role model in the workplace.
Trains and mentors new employees or transitioning workers in the area.
Utilizes computer systems to check e-mail, complete on line training and complete Performance Management and Development (PMD) annual review process for self and team.
How will you get here?
High School Diploma or Equivalent; Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, Mechanical Engineering, Operations Management, or similar (Preferred)
4+ years of manufacturing experience with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity
