What will you do?
Continually improve the manufacturing quality of fabricated products supplied to assembly lines. Continually reduce internal and external defects rates and costs of poor quality.
Serve as the quality engineer, contributing quality methods expertise, leadership, and hands-on process improvement work, to support success of the value stream team.
Quality engineer supporting manufacturing fabrication value stream, including blanking, forming, welding, powder coating, and other shop operations.
Lead and contribute to continual improvement of quality of manufacturing, inspection, and test processes and fabricated products to meet customer requirements and business objectives.
Drive culture of quality compliance and quality performance improvement working together with cross-functional teams and process owners.
Apply, lead, and teach quality engineering methods supporting preventive strategies to drive continual process capability improvement and reduce wastes, disruptions, cycle times, and costs of poor quality.
Monitor and analyze processes and product results to prioritize improvement actions, solve problems applying root cause analysis and effective corrective and preventive actions, deliver continually improved measured results, participating in
Practical Process Improvement in a Lean environment. Support upgrades to business processes, systems, and implementation of digital solutions relevant to manufacturing quality management.
Maintain focus on customer success, assuring quality requirements are met and responding with timely and effective solutions to internal and external customer concerns.
Comply with customer, legal, regulatory and QMS requirements. Lead process validation activities.
How will you get here?
Bachelor’s degree in an engineering or scientific field required. Equivalent work experience in manufacturing quality regulated industry could be considered in lieu of Bachelor’s.
Manufacturing quality engineer and process improvement experience
Experience in regulated quality manufacturing systems (21CFR830, ISO9001, ISO 13485, IATF16949, AS9100)
Verbal and written communication skills including good interpersonal skills
ASQ, certified Quality Engineer preferred, otherwise qualified candidates who will pursue certification within 24 months of hire.
