Senior Global Training Specialist
The Senior Global Training Specialist will work with a team of technical experts to craft, develop and deliver training content. Responsible for helping to develop global technical training strategies and ensure regulatory compliance of the training processes. This individual will partner with other functions in Global Customer Care to identify and build training content using eLearning, Instructor-Led, and Virtual Instructor Led methodology.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Partner with key partners in the Global Customer Care organization to identify training needs and provide instructional design input on crafting effective appropriate learning.
Craft and develop the global training strategy and programs including technical and non-technical skills, new hire onboarding, continuous learning, and training on updates and new products.
Participate in Project/Development Teams to ensure service-readiness for New Product introductions by developing needed training upon launch.
Build course design specifications for both Instructor Led and eLearning learning objects meeting the needs of the partners.
Develop Instructor Led and Virtual Instructor Led Training involving servicing of Cepheid products and development of soft skills. Conduct training sessions for Train the Trainer events in person or remotely globally.
Develop engaging eLearning content using industry-standard tools such as Camtasia and Articulate 360 that can be deployed in the Cepheid LMS system.
Develop technical and soft skill assessments and surveys supporting the effectiveness of learning objects created.
Investigate and engage in new learning approaches and tools for developing training such as gamification, coaching, and VR\AR.
Create, participate, and present on training initiatives across the Customer Care organization.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
BS in Engineering or Life Sciences with 8+ years related work experience OR
Masters degree in related field with 6+ years of related work experience
5+ years of hands-on experience developing both Instructor Led and eLearning technical training using industry-standard tools
Effective communicator (speaking, writing), and able to work effectively with cross-functional and senior-leadership teams
Degree in Hardware Engineering, Robotics, Clinical Laboratory Science, Biomedical Engineering, or other relevant majors with the technical aptitude to comprehend scientific and technical content
Experience in the medical device, clinical laboratory, life science, field service or technical support and/or Field Service
Certification or training in learning development tools such as TechSmith or Articulate 360.
4+ years experience in training management or technical capability building
Customer-focused and business-oriented, and able to exercise independent planning and judgment.
Practical experience with remote training challenges and approaches for delivery.
Proven track record of strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills
Metrics and results-oriented with a continuous improvement attitude
Ability to lift 45 lbs. and place the equipment into a slot 5 feet high.
Ability to maneuver/push equipment (weighing over 1,000 lbs.) on wheels.
