DIVERSE SEGMENTS, REPRESENTATION, AND INCLUSION (DSRI)

DSRI partners with Wells Fargo's business leaders on the strategy, operations, and delivery of products and solutions specifically for diverse customer segments or underserved communities. This group is an important part of our overall commitments to advance our diversity efforts internally and externally. DSRI drives accountability for leading and advancing the Company's diversity and inclusion efforts in the marketplace and workplace, with the goal of leading the financial sector in its contribution to closing the wealth gap of diverse communities.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION (DE&I)

DE&I commitments were established to help create a workforce that brings diversity of insights and perspectives to all levels of our company. These commitments place accountability on leaders to intentionally focus on improving diverse representation in more senior-level roles of the organization to more closely reflect our workforce and the customers and communities that we serve. Our top DE&I priority is to support our employees by bringing about meaningful change in diverse representation. The key principles of the design structure is to have centralized reporting and direction-setting that is aligned against priorities, and executives who will be held accountable for outcomes. Each Line of Business (LoB) and Staff/Operations Function will be responsible for implementing and driving initiatives in a well-managed and robust control environment.

THE ROLE

The DE&I Consultants will report to the DE&I Consulting Team Senior Manager.   These roles will help to lead the execution of Staff Function-specific DE&I deliverables across Wells Fargo to deliver against our enterprise DE&I strategy.  We have multiple positions available at this time.

These individuals will support several critical success factors to include demonstrated inspirational leadership capability, leveraging innovation and inclusion with proven skills in effectively developing and executing DE&I strategies for staff functions in a large, complex global organization.  

KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for providing strategic consulting services to client organizations utilizing comprehensive, in-depth knowledge and expertise regarding Wells Fargo business strategy (enterprise-wide) and emerging trends in the Industry.
  • Partner with executive management across function to define the business strategy and create/execute corresponding business plans and initiatives. Has responsibility for the identification of strategic business opportunities (including evaluation, approval process, monitoring for outcomes, and communication).
  • Provide guidance to less experienced employees within client organization
  • Influence around diversity and inclusion scorecard metrics and coaching to behaviors that drive progress toward workforce, supplier diversity and advocacy goals
  • Recognize opportunities to align Diversity Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) approaches and consult on business needs while integrating diversity & inclusion into business strategies
  • Consult to implementation and management of programs, processes, guidelines, tools and instruments that could support core and common DE& I initiatives associated with diversity and inclusion and the organizational constructs that accompany an inclusive culture
  • Recognize the behaviors, interpersonal/group dynamics, understands implications of conflict, supports change and uses root cause analysis to evaluate and consult to their impact to people, the business and an overall inclusive culture
  • Advises and supports executive management 1-2 levels below the Operating Committee Member.
  • Provide strategic thought leadership, consulting, coaching, and core and common solution development in collaboration with the broader Diverse Segments and Representation Team to accelerate DE&I progress with leaders in LOB and staff functions.
  • Drive accountability through influencing senior leadership, working with key partners, business leaders, and HR
  • Consult, and as appropriate provide DE&I coaching to DE&I Council Members, scorecards, and Operating Committee/Management Committee leaders on strategy, gaps, strengths and opportunities
  • Annually, leverage data to inform, provide insights, and prepare an annual plan detailing the staff function strategic diversity plan and corresponding accountabilities to realize measurable results against business and enterprise priorities, goals, and strategic plan
  • Partners across the enterprise including leveraging subject matter experts and consultants within Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Community Relations, DSRI, etc.
  • Manage a complex D&I agenda, interacting with and influencing executive decision makers and functional partners, offering consulting resources and effectively communicating to build relationships and credibility

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of strategic planning experience



Other Desired Qualifications
  • 4+ years of diversity and inclusion consulting or DE&I leadership experience (includes leading councils, TMN Chapters, DE&I Projects)
  • Ability to translate Diversity and Inclusion to business outcomes
  • Ability to effectively partner and influence at the executive level
  • Experience building partnerships and consulting effectively with leadership
  • Strong collaboration and partnering skills
  • Ability to manage and facilitate group discussions
  • Experience leading multiple projects
  • Knowledge and understanding of compiling and preparing executive summaries, whitepaper, and presentations for management/senior leaders
  • Ability to be proactive, innovative and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, facilitation, and interpersonal communication skills
