Qualifications & Requirements

Purpose of Job

Your tasks will mainly be to support our users and to develop, adapt and optimize methodology for them. Our users are mainly in the areas of manufacturing engineering, production preparation and production. The role includes daily contact with users and business analysts, to understand the businesses requirements and needs.

The role also involves close collaboration with our own system developers and system admins. You will be involved in adapting the system and perform tasks such as create functional specifications for new needs and test and verify new or adapted functionality.

In the role, you will work with MBD (Model Based Definition) flows, from operational requirements to more efficient working methods. Over time, you will work in both projects and management of the systems.

Job Responsibilities

  • Secure digital thread throughout our system integrations (PLM Design/PLM Manufacturing/ERP/MES)

  • Application specialist with daily method & user support, incidents, requests

  • Verification and testing, best practice, tests, error tracing etc.

  • Bug/error investigations

  • Methodology investigation and methodology development

  • Support development/programming to meet new business needs

  • User support

  • Develop training material and train users, with assistance of super-users

  • Develop requirement specifications and improvement proposals

  • Develop and update documentation

  • User & license administration in the system


  • 3DX DELMIA applications

  • CATIA V5 & VPM V5 (viewing)

  • Model Based Definition knowledge

  • Methodology for test & verification of PLM-system

  • Skilled in investigating needs & writing specifications

  • Error diagnosis/tracing & problem solving

  • Knowledge in Manufacturing Planning & Work Instruction authoring

Education & Experience

  • You have a Master of Science or Bachelor degree or have equivalent work experience within relevant area (Manufacturing engineering/Computer science).

  • You have some knowledge about manufacturing engineering tasks such as manufacturing planning, work instruction authoring and tact line balancing.

  • You have good knowledge of one, or more, PLM systems used in product development or production, preferable 3DExperiance.

  • You already have previous experience of model-based working methods and integrated system solutions

  • You have previous experience of working in CAD applications. Viewer skills are required.

  • You have experience of Agile working methods
