Consumer and Small Business Banking (CSBB) provides financial services to 21 million retail bank households and three million small business customers through approximately 4,900 retail branches, 17 customer service centers, and approximately 13,000 ATMs in 36 states and the District of Columbia. We serve and help individuals and families in many aspects of their lives, helping them buy homes, open first bank and savings accounts, buy cars to get to and from work or school, and start or grow small businesses. CSBB is focused on innovating and transforming with the customer at the center, better enabling customers to engage with us how, when, and wherever they choose. As an industry leader in many consumer and small business areas – including retail deposits, debit card transaction and purchase volume, and small business lending – our primary goal is delivering for our customers.

Branch Banking serves more than 70 million consumer and small business customers through a distribution network consisting of approximately 4,900 retail banking branches, complemented by online and digital channels, and a network of 13,000 ATMs across 36 states and Washington, D.C.  Branch Banking includes the regions, Branch Banking Operations and Supervision, and Consumer Banking National Business Development.

This manager will be accountable to the Administration Leader and support the activities required for Safe Deposit Box Product strategy including product vision and mission statement, product roadmap, customer segmentation opportunities, and executive leadership updates.   

Responsibilities include identifying ongoing safe deposit product technology enhancement, and organizing product education and awareness across CSBB leadership and Branch Banking. The position will also provide leadership of SCRA activities, issue identification and resolution, and remediation for safe deposit product.  
This position will also lead and collaborate with peers, partners and Administration leadership in the development and reporting of ongoing business metrics, and management of complex research in support of issue resolution for the Administration team.  In addition, this position will serve as primary contact for offshore efforts and will collaborate across the Administration team to identify new offshore engagement opportunities.  

The leader will establish monitoring of key risk indicators and emerging risks to ensure effective performance outcomes. The leader must possess strong written, verbal, and organizational skills, as well as the ability to collaborate with a multitude of stakeholders and leaders throughout CSBB, Legal and Compliance.  The leader may simultaneously manage a number of initiatives; manage issues across the administration team all with a wide range of operational, regulatory, and compliance related outcomes. Will manage and lead others.

Key job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Planning & Execution - Responsible for leadership of cross functional/virtual teams to strategize, plan and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives that are significant in scope, complexity and risk. (Not limited to: operational/executive management review coordination, process improvement and redesign, major change management)
  • Strategic Partnerships - Implementation of programs/services/initiatives with cross-functional business partners, recognizing the significance of competing priorities and strategies, and adjusting as necessary. Works with functional management to influence outcomes, address conflict and ensure alignment with WF strategy /policies and business line objectives.
  • Business Innovation & Operational Efficiencies - Develops metrics and tracks/evaluates performance of programs, services and initiatives. Ensures plans/programs adhere to appropriate policies and regulations.
  • Leadership/People Management - Manages a team to accomplish the work directly and indirectly across CSBB Branch Banking Operations & Supervision.

Salary range is determined by the location of the job.  

Salary range for this position is:

TX-DAL-Downtown Dallas: Min: $123,900 Mid: $177,000 Max: $230,100
NC-Charlotte: Min: $123,900 Mid: $177,000 Max: $230,100
TX-SA-North Central: Min: $123,900 Mid: $177,000 Max: $230,100
CA-LA-Downtown Los Angeles: Min: $130,100 Mid: $185,900 Max: $241,700
CA-SF-Financial District: Min: $136,300 Mid: $194,700 Max: $253,100
CA-Pasadena: Min: $130,100 Mid: $185,900 Max: $241,700

May be considered for a discretionary bonus.
May be considered for Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: business support, project management, implementation, business operations or strategic planning
  • 4+ years of management experience

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy

  • Monitors and evaluates emerging risk, and operational trends
  • Experience developing senior-level reports
  • Experience leading documentation of policy-related processes and procedures
  • Ability to engage, consult, and influence senior management and leadership across multiple functions
  • Critical thinker, self-directed with ability to influence change
  • Ability to positively motivate and direct team members and the business, emphasizing individual and group strengths
  • Strong thought leadership skills and experience managing a team
  • Review and analyze monthly reporting to understand and address material deficiencies and weaknesses; inform management of issues through information sharing, reporting, and escalation

  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
