About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Business Growth Strategy Consultant-Portfolio Review Services Analyst who will report to the Head of Investment Tools and Implementation. The Portfolio Review Services team works within the Investment Solutions Center of Excellence (COE) across Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) lines of business to analyze client portfolios with respect to asset allocation, risk, returns, and attribution in order to provide world class guidance for Financial Advisors (FAs), Investment Strategists (IS), and Institutional partners and their Ultra High Net Worth (UHNW) and High Net Worth (HNW) clients. The PRS team consults with the FA, IS, or Institutional partner on their portfolios and investment philosophies to ensure they are generating results in line with client goals and investment objectives. 

In this role, you will:

  • Perform research and analysis under the guidance of senior analysts in order to assist in making portfolio recommendations within strategy and fundamental framework.
  • Bring advanced knowledge of Excel to the team to search out operational inefficiencies with a mind toward streamlining analytical tools
  • Possess ability and willingness to learn advanced portfolio modeling concepts and research guidance framework from Wells Fargo Investment Institute (WFII), as well as various investment solutions (equities, fixed income, Separately Managed Accounts (SMAs), Advisory programs, and more)
  • Be passionate about portfolio management, research, and analysis and the desire to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborate and coordinate with team members and stakeholders to maintain commitment to duties
  • Be a team player and proactively help out when/where needed
  • Participate in planning and execution of tactical activities and projects within functional area that directly support or assist in implementation and optimization of efforts of Portfolio Review Services
  • Ensure adherence to compliance regulations and policies


Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of Business Growth Strategy experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience with data mining, analysis, and investment research
  • 2+ year of Financial Services Experience
  • Knowledge of asset allocation and Modern Portfolio Theory
  • Wealth and Investment Management experience
  • 2+ years of specific investment/portfolio research analysis or management
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Driven, confident, organized and an accomplished problem solver
  • Strong Relationship Management Skills
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
  • Experience collaborating with Financial Advisors
  • CFA Charter or progress towards CFA Charter
