Lead Credit Risk Officer - Auto Originations Risk

In this role, you will:

  • Recommend strategy/process/policy improvements relevant for all credit risk originations teams based on analysis, regulatory requirements, and business partner initiatives to Senior Management and business partners

  • Identify and execute against strategic opportunities to support the ongoing refinement of credit policy and business operational efficiency

  • Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure flawless data process, analysis, and accurate credit strategy implementation

  • Represent Originations Risk Strategy as a subject matter expert on various cross-functional project teams

  • Lead complex initiatives including those that are cross-functional with broad impact and act as key participant in driving the company credit culture, desire, and business performance for Credit Risk

  • Review and analyze complex strategies, programs, and policies with a direct and significant impact on credit risk appetite and culture

  • Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements

  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics

Required Qualifications, US:

  • 5+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years credit risk, finance, or credit portfolio management experience with a consumer lending product, auto highly preferred

  • SAS programming experience or experience with other programming languages such as R or Python

  • Proven statistical analysis capabilities, and experience creating large analytical datasets

  • Exceptional problem solving and project management skills

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with experience delivering presentations

  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and timelines

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite

  • Master's degree in a quantitative discipline such as Economics, Engineering, Mathematics, etc.
