Associate VP, New Market Development

As the Associate Vice President of New Market Development, for the Cell Analysis Division, you will be responsible for working across the businesses, and OneAgilent organizations & functions to develop, implement, and evolve our divisional strategies and tactics to identify new high-growth market opportunities. A key initiative is to expand beyond our core customers & markets enabling the division to successfully achieve and exceed our growth objectives.

As a successful candidate, you will:

* Bring strong scientific, technical and market domain experience as a key member of the leadership team.
* Act as a partner, and advisor, to the Division Leadership Team in assessing external market trends and partnership opportunities that will enable us to expand into new and adjacent high-growth market segments.
* Define a new market development strategy to reach new customers and used in a planned, structured way across all aspects of the division.
* Deliver New Market Intelligence that is actionable and supports CLSD strategic goals and plan.
* Identify and validate new market opportunities that fit CLSD strategic intent and plan.
* Nurture potential opportunities and strategic partners and build internal consensus and operationalize.
* Work with team members across Agilent to target and succeed together in new market segments.
* Lead cross-business M&A target assessments for opportunities to expand our market presence.
* Represent the Cell Analysis Division with the Agilent Labs team(s) as new technology evaluations are being considered.
* Act as the Cell Analysis Division liaison with Agilent’s Early-Stage-Partnership (ESP) program as new markets, techniques, and early-stage companies are being evaluated.
* Manage deliverables across business groups and other Agilent functions and businesses with connections to and dependencies on Cell Analysis market expansion activities.
* Key advocate on all cross-business/group critical initiatives & lead division deliverables across businesses.

* Masters or Ph.D. preferred or University Degree or equivalent plus proven industry experience integrating the resources of several complex departments or functions
* Typically has 7 years of increasing managerial experience
* Strong track record of success in bringing new products and solutions to market in the cell analysis space
* Strong background working across a multifaceted and complex global market landscape resulting in recognized market leadership
* Experience working in a global, dynamic, and complex organizational structure with proven experience delivering results
