Job Description
Lead Systems Operations Engineer-Middleware and Application Product Analyst

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Systems Operations Engineer to provide metrics and analysis for the Middleware and Application Products Configuration program as part of the Chief Technology Office. Learn more about the career areas and lines of business at wellsfargojobs.com


    In this role, you will:

    • Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the Application and Middleware Products technology teams
    • Review and analyze complex technical challenges related to configuration drift that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems that produce reporting and metrics for the program.
    • Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements for the configuration management reporting and metrics program, including writing of user stories.
    • Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve configuration drift issues and achieve goals of the program.

    Required Qualifications, US:

    • 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
    • Advanced excel and analysis skills with ability to present to peer and leadership teams.

    Desired Qualifications:

    • Experience writing user stories for Agile or Kanban team work.
    • Ability to self-manage and drive results without detailed instructions.


    Job Expectations:

    • In this role you will be primarily accountable for the creation of metrics in support of the configuration management program.
    • You will be required to partner with peer teams to understand where remediation and release are at in order to provide summary level insights to the program.
    • You will work with peer engineering team to develop automated reporting in support of the configuration management program.
