This is a unique, newly created role with direct reporting and strategic partnership across senior leadership, including the Vice President & Chief Technology Officer, Vice President of Facilities Infrastructure & Safety, and Senior Director of Facilities Services. Designed to intentionally bridge Facilities Services and Technology & Digital Solutions (TDS), the Director, Facilities Technology and Intelligence Tools serves as the connective tissue between operations, strategy, and technology. The dual reporting nature of this role truly sets the stage for transformation in Facilities Services with direct executive oversight.
In this role, you'll help define how Stanford Health Care uses data, digital platforms, and emerging AI to operate smarter, safer, and more predictively across a complex healthcare environment. You won't sit on the sidelines. Working closely with Facilities Services leaders and TDS partners, you will turn real operational challenges into scalable tools and insights that improve reliability, efficiency, and decision making across Operations, Infrastructure, Planning & Design, and Construction.

The Facilities Infrastructure & Safety (FIS) business unit is vital in ensuring the safety, security, and operational integrity of Stanford Health Care facilities while also managing disaster preparedness and complex building systems to foster a secure healthcare environment. FIS is made up of multiple departments aligned in focus: Environmental Health & Safety, Facility Field Services, Protective Services, Security Services, Office of Emergency Management, Facilities Engineering - Systems, Operational Technology, Facilities Engineering- Infrastructure, Facilities Services Response Center, and Facilities Administration and Operations.
