After three years of losing the Palmetto Capital City Classic, South Carolina's largest HBCU football game, The Benedict College tigers finally won against Johnson C. Smith University. Hundreds packed the stadium to see this event, and the highlight of the classic (as always) the Band competition during half-time.
This Year's Halftime Show featured Jermaine Dupri and the So So Def All Stars!! Final Score:
Benedict College Tigers 26
JCSU Golden Bulls 11
The classic has always been played with SC State University, this is the very first year that the classic was played against another school. The half time show last year featured recording artist MASE.
Until the completion of Benedict's new multi-million dollar stadium, the classic has been played at the University of South Carolina's Willams-Brice stadium.
