Oakwood University President's Leadership Tour
|
Posted By: Reginald Culpepper on October 26, 2016 This past weekend, President Pollard, along with a group of student leaders of Oakwood, spent time in Washington, DC. This annual trip, called the President's Leadership Tour, allows for Dr. Pollard to speak to the students about the impact of their leadership on the campus. During the tour, they were able to visit several monuments and historic sites including the new National Museum of African American History & Culture, the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial, the United States Capitol, Lincoln Memorial, and the Washington Monument and Reflecting Pool. The Administration would like to give a special thank you to Leroy and Lois Peters, friends of Oakwood University, who hosted all of the 24 students and their chaperones for the Leadership Tour.
