Opportunity for HBCU Students to Represent the U.S. in Dubai - Apply For Youth Ambassador Program Today!

The United States Department of State, through its NGO partner Global Ties U.S., is accepting applications for Youth Ambassadors (U.S. citizens ages 18-29) to serve as guides and cultural ambassadors at the U.S. Pavilion. These energetic, friendly individuals will serve as the face of the United States to millions of Expo visitors, providing a human connection to the United States and its territories and reflecting its geographic and cultural diversity.

Youth Ambassadors can expect to have daily encounters with international visitors who may speak one or several languages. The ideal Youth Ambassador is multilingual in English and one of the following languages: Arabic, Mandarin, Farsi, Hindi, Russian, and Urdu. Additional language skills in Bengali, French, or Spanish may also be useful. While an asset, language abilities are not an application requirement . All applications will be reviewed, regardless of language skills.

The Expo is open from October 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022. Youth Ambassadors have options to serve the entire 6 months or a fall or spring term of approximately 3 months. The appointment comes with all transportation costs, housing and a weekly stipend of $300. More importantly, youth ambassadors will have the experience of a lifetime at a major world event as well as meet with business and government leaders from around the world. The Expo plans to host 15 million visitors. COVID19 safety precautions are a key element of the Expo Dubai planning process.

We really encourage students from all walks of America to apply for this unique opportunity to experience the world and a taste of representing their country overseas. More information can be seen at: https://www.globaltiesus.org/events/expo-2...
