Deion Sanders Assembles 'Best Talent In HBCU Football History' at Jackson State University

"I'm happy, I'm excited, I'm elated that our first class is partially in because you know we have another signing day in February," Sanders said. "This has been phenomenal. The coaches have worked their butts off to pretty much affirm some of the best talent, I believe, in HBCU history, in FCS history." The Tigers' recruiting class ranks No. 1 in the Southwestern Athletic Conference and No. 121 in the country, according to the 247Sports Composite Ranking. "This prolific and profound class will definitely provoke change," Sanders said Sanders said the high school early enrollees who played in the fall and the transfer athletes who played in the fall aren't eligible for the Tigers' spring season, but the players who didn't participate in the fall are eligible. All of the signees that enroll early will practice with the team.
