College Tips to Stay Energized During Exams
Posted By: Brooke Chaplan on July 29, 2022 Unbeknownst to some, college is about more than partying and socializing. Exam week can be ****, with long nights of studying. Thankfully, there are many ways to stay energized during exams. Here are some tips to help you stay focused on your studying. Keep a Workout ScheduleWorking out is good for your overall health. However, during exams, it can give you a much-needed energy boost. Plan your workout for the middle of the day. Do not go hardcore, though. You do not want to exhaust yourself. An easy 30-minute workout can translate into 3-4 more hours of energy in your day. Take a ShowerPeople take cold showers in the morning as a way of waking up. Well, it works the same way while you are studying for exams. The cold water makes you breathe heavier. Heavy breathing increases the amount of oxygen in your body, and the extra oxygen is a natural booster for the brain. Not everyone enjoys jumping in an ice-cold shower. Washing your face or splashing cold water on yourself can have the same results. Stay HydratedTo stay awake and focused, you need to stay hydrated. Keep a water bottle near you at all times. After a while, water can get boring, plus a little caffeine won’t hurt. Coffee helps to provide a bit of an energy boost, thanks to the caffeine inside. Choose a natural coffee, such as Coastal Blend Coffee Blends so you are not filling your body with unwanted chemicals and artificial flavors. Always make sure to enjoy caffeine in moderation in order to avoid crashing. Create the Right AtmosphereIf your study place is cold and dark, you will want to go to sleep. You need bright light and set the room temperature to a setting that is neither too hot nor too cold. If clutter is a distraction, clean your study space before you begin. Make sure you have all your supplies, too. Next, put on some upbeat music with no lyrics. Lyrics can sometimes be distracting. However, if you find singing along to your favorite songs a focusing tool, enjoy your playlist while studying. Certain studies state that listening to music will make you happy and energetic. Late-night studying is not a lot of fun. However, it is usually a necessity when in college. Use these tips to keep your energy up. You will be done with exams before you know it.
