Review of the 2024 Cadillac XT4 AWD Premium Luxury

Posted By: Randi Payton on July 07, 2024 Driving the 2024 Cadillac XT4 AWD Premium Luxury around town for a week unleashed its upgraded combination of performance, style, and technology. This compact luxury SUV is a testament to Cadillac’s long history as a leader in the luxury segment. The XT4 demonstrated smooth acceleration, agile handling, and a composed ride during my test drive. Although it is not as sporty as it looks, driving on city and highway roads was a joy. Under the hood, a 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-4 engine delivers 235 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. It is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission, providing smooth and responsive gear shifts. The all-wheel-drive (AWD) system ensures excellent traction and stability, particularly in adverse weather conditions. Models/Price: The 2024 Cadillac XT4 is available in three reasonably priced models: Luxury ($39,090), Premium Luxury ($42,690), and Sport ($43,190). Each of them offers a unique set of features and amenities, catering to different preferences and budgets. The Premium Luxury trim, which I tested, offers a perfect balance of upscale features and value, making it a popular choice among buyers. The Cadillac XT4 receives several updates this year, including exterior enhancements, a refreshed front fascial, a redesigned grille, and new LED lights. Style & Size: In keeping with its heritage, the 2024 Cadillac XT4 showcases a bold and sophisticated design with sharp lines and an athletic stance. The Premium Luxury is distinguished by chrome accents, 18-inch alloy wheels, and a panoramic sunroof. It has 22.5 cubic feet of cargo space, which expands to 48.9 cubic feet when the rear seats are folded. On the inside, the XT4 adopts the 33.0-inch infotainment display from the Cadillac Lyriq, which stretches across the dashboard from the driver to the passenger. In addition, it received upgraded materials and an improved layout, including a larger 13.7-inch digital gauge cluster and a 12-inch touchscreen display. Technology: The Cadillac XT4 features Google Android Auto software, wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a premium Bose audio system, and an integrated GPS system with real-time traffic updates. The 13-speaker AKG stereo system with a 5G Wi-Fi hotspot is available. Safety: The XT4 is also equipped with a comprehensive suite of safety features, including adaptive cruise control, forward collision alert with automatic emergency braking, land-keep assist with lane-departure warning, blind-spot monitoring, and rear cross-traffic alert.
