The search to find the right college can often be challenging. EBONY magazine and Chevrolet have made this search a lot easier by once again teaming up to produce the 2006-2007 Guide to Historically Black Colleges & Universities.

Now in its 11th year, the guide features 80+ four-year colleges and is free of charge. A specific description is given on each school including, majors, enrollment, tuition costs and contact information. There is also an entire section on scholarships. Linda Johnson Rice, CEO and President of Johnson Publishing Company, says the guide is an effective tool for students and their parents.

“We are glad to partner once again with Chevrolet on the college guide. An education is one of the most valuable assets one can attain. It is my sincere hope that it will assist college bound students in their educational endeavors,” said Rice.

“The scholarship listing is an added bonus of which students and parents should take advantage.”

The guide includes other informative sections including “How to Choose a College or University,” “Freshman Survival Tips” and “Strong Career Choices for the Future.” A free copy of the 2006-2007 Guide To Historically Black Colleges & Universities may be obtained by calling 1-800-201-9572. EBONY magazine, the No. 1 magazine for African-Americans, is published monthly and reaches over 12 million readers with each issue. The magazine is currently celebrating 60 years of “Living The Ebony Life.” EBONY is published by Johnson Publishing Company, Inc., the largest Black-owned publishing company in the world founded in 1942 by the late Publisher and Chairman John H. Johnson.
