Communications Specialist Opportunity at Cabrini College

Posted By: on June 19, 2007 Cabrini College has an immediate opening for a Communications Specialist, an exciting position on a high-energy team of professionals producing high-end print and electronic communications. The Communications Specialist is a vital member of the College’s highly motivated Marketing and Communications team charged with implementing a College-wide strategic communications plan. The Communications Specialist’s primary responsibilities are writing, editing and project management within the Marketing & Communications Department such as the management of the College’s 50th Anniversary Celebration publications and electronic communications. There is a special emphasis on managing electronic communications such as Cabrini~LinK for parents and Blue & White Briefs for alumni, as well as supporting the webmaster’s re-design of faculty and academic department web pages, with specific responsibility for writing faculty biographies and editing academic department profiles for the College’s website. As primary liaison to the Institutional Advancement Office, the Communications Specialist provides support for a comprehensive, systematic communications program to inform and cultivate the interest of alumni and donors and prospective donors to Cabrini College. Job Qualifications/Requirements: The ideal candidate must be well organized, detail-oriented and analytical, and articulate in spoken and written communications. Experience in writing, editing and production of electronic communications (i.e. web and email) is a necessity. College degree is required; communications related major desirable. Two – four years of development communications experience is preferred (preferably in Higher Education).
