Program Summary
The Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) is based in Jacksonville, Florida. We provide maintenance and logistic services to the U.S. Marine Corps (USMC) in support of this program. For over 35 years we have planned, coordinated, and executed the maintenance and logistic services for ground combat vehicles and support equipment for USMC Expeditionary Forces.
Manufactures, repairs, modifies, rebuilds, and assembles various types of metal and alloy parts, equipment, systems, and structures, in support of the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program Philippines (MCPP-PHIL). The MCPP-PHIL Machinist will report directly to the MCPP-PHIL Engineering Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
Plan, coordinate, and execute material fabrication functions for MCPP-PHIL and MCPP-PHIL Organic equipment implementing the following:
Perform maintenance actions that follows the contract Statement of Work and adheres to Marine Corps policy and procedures.
Perform maintenance actions involving equipment and material/parts fabrication.
Support equipment readiness, maintenance shop organization, control of maintenance assets and provide advice on all matters relating to material/parts fabrication. Review invoices and requisitions to plan work activities.
Maintain proficiency and material fabrication certification.
Provide requisitions for equipment, materials, and supplies.
Comply with personnel and administrative policies, procedures, and government regulations.
Comply with established safety regulations, and method and procedures for handling and storing various equipment and materials.
Comply with MCPP-PHIL ISO policies and procedures, work specifications, and time schedules.
Interpret specifications, drawings, work orders, technical instructions, and layouts.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
Associate degree and/or coursework towards a BS degree in mechanical engineering or another related field.
In lieu of a degree, a combination of college credits, professional certification, formalized training, or education, and directly related work experience may be considered.
Four years of progressive experience with specialized knowledge of maintenance activities involving machining and metal fabrication.
U.S. Citizen.
U.S. Stateside Drivers License
U.S. Passport
FBI Background investigation with no criminal, civil, or security violations.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Philippines Work Visa.
Desired Skills:
USMC MOS 1316
Understanding of Marine Corps policies, regulations, and orders.
Industry Certification
Working knowledge of military storage procedures.
Expert knowledge of general maintenance procedures for military tactical equipment and supplies.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to comply with all established methods, quality standards, and time schedules applicable to this position
