<div id="details-info" class="tab-pane active fr-view" style="margin:2px"> <dl> <dt><h2>Class Description</h2></dt> <dd><p></p><p style="margin: 0">Perform professional level administrative duties of ESOL intake and assessment process, assisting with the daily operations of the Continuing Education’s Center for Adult and Family Literacy. This is a part-time, grant position funded through the Consolidated Adult Education and Family Literacy Grant provided by Maryland’s. Department of Labor. </p><p><br> </p></dd> <dt><h2>Minimum Requirements</h2></dt> <dd><p></p><p style="margin: 0">Bachelor’s degree and two years’ experience in adult education ESOL required. Master’s degree in TESOL and prior experience with administration of standardized assessments and/or computer based testing programs with CASAS or TABE preferred. </p><p><br> </p></dd> <dt><h2>Class Specific Essential Duties</h2></dt> <dd><p></p><ol style="margin-left: 7.1px; margin-bottom: 3pt"><li>Implement ESOL program’s managed enrollment process including scheduling and management of orientation, intake, and assessments for ESOL students throughout Baltimore County.</li><li>Collect and input data regarding assessment and placement of ESOL students as required by funder.</li><li>Ensure security of all testing materials.</li><li>Administer the implementation of assessments to ESOL students.</li><li>Communicate with ESOL learners and instructors/tutors regarding placement, progress and attendance issues.</li><li>Work with ESOL program staff to address the special needs of enrolled learners, including individuals with disabilities.</li><li>Assist in the referral process of ESOL learners to support services and/or outside agencies.</li><li>Distribute assessment materials and attendance documentation to adjunct faculty in the field.</li></ol></dd> </dl>
