What Industrial Engineering contributes to Cardinal Health NPHS: Engineering is responsible for oversight of NPHS construction projects for all new and remodel pharmacy and PET manufacturing projects. This includes but not limited to clean room air flow and specifications, stack emissions, radiation shielding including cyclotron vault builds. Oversee the designs process to make improvements to reduce cost, cycle time, improve quality and/or increase throughput. Directs external resources/contractors as required.
This position will report to the SVP of Operations for NPHS and will be responsible for leadership within the industrial engineering function, developing and aligning with corporate real estate, NPHS project management, NPHS operational directors, to ensure departmental goals and overall business objectives are met.
Responsibilities:
Provide leadership to managers and experienced professional staff.
Setting the industrial engineering department strategy to align with the business goals and objectives of NPHS.
Organize and supervise the hiring, training, and network coverage of the industrial engineer team.
Establish and implement industrial engineering practices, processes, and goals.
Establish and maintain outside contractors and equipment vendors relationships.
Ensures availability of advanced service tools across the network.
Build and fosters relationships across the organization embracing and driving a One Team approach.
Develops and leads industrial engineering projects and strategies to improve rework. Monitors and ensures objectives, requirements, timelines, and budget is met.
Provides change management leadership and ability to influence while maintaining positive relationships.
Collaborate across cross-functional teams about important matters and any issues that may arise.
Provide technical leadership, guidance, mentoring and assistance to engineering team members.
Promote Culture of Safety: Demonstrates commitment to personal responsibility and value for safety; communicates safety concerns; uses and promotes safe behaviors based on training and lessons learned.
Qualifications:
15+ years of experience
Experience in building nuclear cyclotron facilities, nuclear pharmacies, air conditioning systems, and clean rooms (iso 5 and 7) for drug manufacturing
Bachelors degree in related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred
In-depth knowledge of practices and processes in a PET manufacturing environment
Project Management experience preferred
Understanding of an FDA regulated environment, experience in GMP processes and facilities
Knowledge and experience of NRC, Radiation Safety, ALARA Concepts and
Business acumen (drive for business results)
Skill set must include strong leadership and partnership skills, excellent oral and written communication skills

Build and develop short and midterm initiatives and long-term strategies
Willingness to travel ~30% or as needed
