Join AAUW for a conversation with AAUW fellowships alumna Dr. Ashanti Johnson on “Mentorship in a Digital Age.” Dr. Johnson, an associate professor of chemistry at Fort Valley State University, is
one of the first female African American chemical oceanographers. She is an international expert and highly accredited STEM speaker with notable contributions to STEM education, which earned her the 2010 Presidential Award for Excellence in Science, Mathematics, and Engineering. Her leadership experiences with non-profit organizations, universities, and as CEO and Superintendent of Cirrus Academy, a state-wide STEAM charter school in GA, have provided her with an extensive national and global footprint.
While virtual events and online networking have become society’s new norm, experts note that leveraging online relationships and networking skills are two of the most effective ways to accelerate your career. Dr. Johnson will guide us through some of these best practices and provide tips to maximize your professional relationships. We are thrilled to present her as our featured speaker!
Following the keynote conversation, we’ll pivot to AAUW’s award winning Work Smart salary negotiation workshop, featuring market-based strategies to Know Your Value and Get Paid.
