Global Volunteer Day (GVD) at The McGraw-Hill Companies is more like a volunteer month, during which our employees from across the globe take a paid day off to participate in community volunteer events organized by company team leaders. This year over 270 projects are planned and we have already had over 4,500 employees participate.

GVD is truly a global event, with volunteer activities in Brazil, Mexico, Malaysia, India, Singapore, Beijing, the U.K., Australia, Argentina, Germany, and of course, in the U.S. 99% of GVD volunteers who responded to a survey said that they believe their efforts made a difference in the community.

Organizing corporate volunteer relationships is just one aspect of McGraw-Hill’s Corporate Responsibility & Sustainability efforts. We're deeply proud of these efforts, which include:

• Developing a wide array of products and tools to serve the growing "green" marketplace
