Benefits of the FAIT Fellowship
More than just academic funding and internships, this unique opportunity leads to an I.T. career in the Foreign Service, where you can use your tech skills to support U.S. diplomacy around the world.
This two-year fellowship provides up to $75,000 in academic funding over two years (junior and senior years of college or a two-year master's program), two summer internships, professional development and mentoring -- and culminates in an appointment in the Foreign Service as an Information Management Specialist.
The FAIT Fellowship program was launched by the Department of State to attract outstanding tech talent to the Foreign Service that reflects the diversity of the United States. Members of minority groups underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women, and students with financial need are encouraged to apply.
Applications are currently being accepted for the 2022 cohort from individuals who are entering their junior year in fall 2022 in an IT-related degree program or who are planning to begin a two-year IT-related master's degree program in fall 2022.
