Summer Associates Program:
An 11-week, paid summer internship where students gain real work experience, have extensive networking opportunities, and can serve as leaders on program committees.
Overall, a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and demonstrated leadership ability through studies, employment, and extracurricular activities are strongly preferred. The following internship opportunities are available: Finance, Information Services, Human Resources, Marketing/Communications, Quality and Process Improvement, Supply Chain Management, and Real Estate.
Finance Management Rotation (FMR) program:
The Finance Management Rotation (FMR) program is a two year leadership development program. During this time, you are a full-time employee of UPMC (with full-time salary and full-time benefits!). Throughout the two years, you will experience four six-month rotations that span across all divisions at UPMC including: Corporate Services, Hospital Services, Insurance Services, and Physician Services. During the program, there is high-level exposure to all of our executives, including UPMC's Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Robert DeMichiei.
Students that have graduated in May 2013 or graduate in January or June of 2014 will be considered. A major in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is required. A cumulative GPA of 3.4 is strongly preferred. Preference will be given to candidates that have demonstrated leadership ability through their studies, employment, or extracurricular activities. Familiarity with Microsoft Excel is essential.
Information Services Division Rotation (ISDR) program:
The ISD Rotation (ISDR) program is a two year leadership development program. During this time, you are a full-time employee of UPMC (with full-time salary and full-time benefits!). Throughout the two years, you will experience four six-month rotations. These rotations span across all divisions at UPMC: Business Solutions, Enterprise Solutions, and Enterprise Infrastructure. During the program, there is high-level exposure to all of our executives.
Students that have graduated in May 2013 or graduate in January or June of 2014 will be considered. A major in computer science, information systems, health information systems, or a related field is required. A cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 is required. Preference will be given to candidates that have demonstrated leadership ability through their studies, employment, or extracurricular activities.
