Virginia State University's Girlz at The Gate wake up every morning at 5:30am to pray for the university. They walk the campus invoking the spirit of Christ's presence unceasingly for faculty, students and alumni. It is their way of protecting their beloved university while insuring both its success and safety.

HBCU Connect Scholarship Accepting Submissions Now!
We know not everyone is looking for scholarship money, but we all know someone who is, so please spread the word! HBCUCONNECT.COM is proud to announce the HBCU CONNECT Minority Scholarship Program for HBCU students. The scholarship program makes available several $1,000.00 scholarships for minority applicants who attend or plan to attend a Historically Black College or University.

Microsoft Interviews over 30 African American Professionals at Recruitment Event with HBCU CONNECT!
Microsoft, in Partnership with the online social network HBCUCONNECT.COM, recently celebrated a successful recruiting / networking event which was held on Thursday, May 19th at The OAK Room in Charlotte, North Carolina. The event brought together more than 75 black technology professionals and over 45 staff members from Microsoft looking to recruit local talent for technology careers immediately available in Charlotte, Dallas, Redmond, and other Microsoft locations around the country.
