Job Description
Fundraising Intern
REPORTS TO: Fundraising Coordinator

EFFECTIVE DATES:
June 1st through August 25th
Monday through Friday - 40 hours per week, $15 per hour (40 hours not guaranteed)

SUMMARY:
The PMC is the largest single athletic fundraising event in the country and passes through 100% of all riders fundraising to DFCI. PMC interns support PMC cyclists raising funds for cancer research and care at the Dana Farber Cancer Institute. They work with PMC full-time staff to support riders’ peer to peer fundraising efforts, answer questions about the weekend. They are instrumental in running a successful PMC weekend.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Daily Responsibilities include:
• Processing donations
• Capturing donor information with check massaging
• Direct Mailings – assist with weekly donor/tax acknowledgements, tribute letters (IMO/IHO), Lifetime fundraising recognition and Heavy Hitter gifts
• Work on projects with PMC head staff throughout the summer
• Answering calls and emails from riders/donors with questions about fundraising and PMC weekend
• Preparing signage for PMC weekend
• Fulfill merchandise orders, take inventory as needed
• Work with Kids Rides manager to process Kids Rides donations and additional administrative tasks
• Participate in PMC Head Staff meeting (July 2021)
• Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

PMC Weekend (August 7th & 8th) Responsibilities:
• Rider registration
• Assist with PMC weekend logistics and operations
Qualifications & Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS:
• No prior experience or training.
• High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
• Computer skills required: (Microsoft Office Suite)
