Job Description
Compensation Manager/Analyst - Compensation Financial Analyst




Scope



As a member of the North American HR Total Rewards Team, the Compensation/Financial Consultant/Professional will support primarily projects in Compensation and HR Separations such as: annual variable compensation accruals and calculations, restructuring  calculations, tracking and reporting on these programs as needed.  The role will interface primarily with the North America Region (NAR) Financial Controllers, Group C&E, Reporting and the Total Rewards team in US and India. The position is based out of our New York City office.



The Compensation/financial  Consultant will be responsible for the higher level analytics, administration, delivery, reporting and project management of various compensation programs and processes across the NAR (US and Canada) , working closely with the regional financial controllers, HRBPs across the Business Units (BUs) and Global Business Lines (GBLs), Business Ops leads and HR Shared Services, to ensure affective and accurate implementation of the compensation programs.



The breadth of responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following functional areas:



Responsibilities




  1. Variable Compensation  Process


    1. Manages monthly VC accrual forecast and reporting for Financial controllers and Statutory Accounting, based on financial data, and employee eligibility and VCT,

    2. Validates employees’ eligibility based on alignment, exceptions and annual VCT and calculates annual VC by BU/GBL based on each units Business Performance Factor (BPF), employees’ Personal Contribution Factor (PCF), and Normalization factor.

    3. Works closely with financial controllers and statutory accounting to ensure VC accrual pools are based on business results

    4. Develops reports for Compensation Leads and Unit’s HRDs review and approval

    5. Completes Group VC approval templates

    6. Works with Statutory Finance at the time of the annual VC process, reports and reconciles VC payments by Unit

    7. Works closely with HR Separations lead and Units’ financial controllers and HRDs to manage all restructuring activities based on RC plan; Sets up RC report and manages & reports monthly activity/ forecast  -  people and cost vs RC plan.  

    8. Prepares statistical analysis, data modeling and costing analyses, as needed; Participate in salary surveys, interpret and perform analysis on salary survey data.

    9. Analyzes and interprets current pay practices, policies and procedures in accordance with federal, state and local regulations and prevailing rates for similar jobs in comparable industries or geographic areas and recommend changes as appropriate; educate management and HR generalists as needed on FLSA compliance





 



 




  1. Other Total Rewards Programs




  1. Long Term Incentives (LTI): works closely with TR leader to Prepare quarterly or ad-hoc reports including vesting schedules and all grant reports for various units and Group.

  2. Maintains and audits business processes, incentive targets, and incentive payout rules

  3. Creates ad-hoc reports, compensation modeling, and analysis as necessary



Experience Requirements




  • The successful candidate will have a proven track record with 3-5 years of experience within Compensation, Finance or Operational area

  • Advanced Excel skills such as:

    • VBA, Formulas writing and advance Macros

    • Develop Charts. ...

    • VLook Up

    • Pivot Tables. ...

    • Conditional formatting. ...

    • Array Formulas. ...

    • Dashboards. ...



  • Strong Finance and business acumen and working knowledge of the financial formulas

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or business, or commensurate experience preferred

  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities and initiatives

  • Effective prioritization and time management discipline





Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment.
