$50,000 SALARY - PRESCHOOL TEACHER|
Hiring NOW for our newest program at The Hope Center for Families, a two-generation model to move children and families toward educational success, economic security and health.
Mini University has a passion for educating young children and we need a few more KIND, CARING people to join our School Family. We value and seek diversity and we reward commitment and empathy. Everyone on our Team works hard, learning and growing together to make a difference in the lives of young children.
Lead Teacher Job Description:
This is the motto that has served Mini University well for over 30 years. Each word indicates the significant role a Lead Teacher accepts when joining the Mini U Team.
Teachers are responsible for supporting the emotional and educational needs of young children. 90% of a child’s brain develops in the first 2,000 days of life – the time between birth and the start of Kindergarten. Each day you should laugh, play, grow and learn as you nurture and teach young children.
Teachers must intentionally prepare and maintain an enriched learning environment. They should routinely assess the needs of each child in their class, and then use this assessment data to differentiate and individualize instruction to support each child’s developing skills and knowledge. Teachers are held accountable for nurturing children, responding to their interests and needs, and making learning meaningful. They implement the curriculum, supervise other members of the teaching staff (Assistants, Support Staff and Substitutes), and work with diverse families, administrators and team members.
Teachers are expected to maintain a very high level of quality and excellence in early care and education by being able to understand, articulate and meet the standards, criteria, curriculum and guidelines outlined by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) and Step Up to Quality, and Creative Curriculum.

Company Name: Mini University, Inc.
More than anything, we care about providing safety, love, and quality education to the children under our care. Quality early childhood education is absolutely essential for developing necessary skills for later in life: literacy, healthy relationships, emotional intelligence, science, creativity. These are all crucial for success all throughout life, and we believe strongly in helping children reach their full potential. Our learn through play philosophy allows children to be children while still building important brain connections and promoting learning. Children learn best through hands-on experiences, and when it’s fun, it’s even more rewarding. Our teachers are the true heart of Mini University, and we believe that quality education programs begin with having quality teachers. All of our lead teachers have degrees in early childhood education (or a related field). We hold all our staff to much higher standards than any other center in Ohio. Education is, of course, important, but passion for education and a strong desire to positively influence young lives are the greatest qualities we look for when bringing in a new member of our School Family. Come join our family if you truly love working with young children and want to make a difference.
