Rare’s Center for Behavior & the Environment (BE.Center) was founded in 2017 to bring the best insights from behavioral science and design to tackle our most challenging environmental problems. Through partnership with leading academic and research institutions, we are translating the science of human behavior into practical solutions for changemakers worldwide. In order to build demand for behaviorally informed approaches to the environment, we launched a web learning platform in January 2020, with three aims:
Learn: To support learning behavioral insights
Design: To support behavior-centered design
Connect: To support connections between anyone seeking to make a difference to people and nature
As of now, the virtual ‘behavior change for the environment’ community has 1000+ members from 79 countries. The BE.Center is searching for a dynamic and driven Web Analytics and Accessibility Intern who will support our growing community members to learn better, design better and connect better.
-Implementing industry standard Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) to all platform resources
-Research the latest norms in web accessibility for differently abled users and recommend next steps
-Track and report search engine optimization data
-Explore other analytics and accessibility-related ideas of your choice
-Recommended skills and qualifications:
-Well organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented
-Comfortable working as part of a team and independently; able to manage deadlines
-Experience with Wordpress
-Experience with tracking web analytics
-Familiarity with Google Page Experience best practices
-Interest in web inclusivity, user experience and design thinking a plus
