The Role: Marketing Team Intern Zildjian Family of Brands

You will be working on the entire portfolio of brands including Zildjian, Vic Firth, and Balter Mallets. This Intern will learn, grow, and support the team under the supervision of the Director of Integrated Marketing, and the guidance of the marketing team members (web/ecommerce, social media, creative, brand). This position requires a blend of strong project management skills, communication skills, and a thirst for knowledge and experience in all things marketing. The candidate should be a self-starter, confident in managing and owning their tasks, communicating updates to the team and supervisors, and willing to raise their hand when seeking opportunities to contribute. This role will be remote for the Summer, with frequent day-to-day engagements through virtual conversations and meetings. You will be part of a small creative team of people that will allow you to establish professional relationships and connections through our culture and mentoring.
Brand and Digital Team
o Export weekly performance metrics on the website and performance media platforms to be integrated into reporting
o Create and manage paid social media ads to increase our opportunities to test and learn through our ad units
o Build a monthly audience report that tracks our user/follower-base trends
o Upload new photography and product imagery (sticks, mallets, implements) to update the merchandising on .com
o Comb the website and ensure consistency of experience across product pages ensuring that each page has the appropriate images, videos, and suggested products
o Monitor the site for bugs/front-end quirks to alert agency partners for fixes
o Assist Social Media Managers in monitoring and tracking our social media engagements (comments, likes, shares, saves) and assist in community management by alerting the team to opportunities and/or responses
o Utilizing Sprinklr, proof posts (copy, hashtags, user tags) prior to post deployment
o Assist in preparing assets for social media scheduling (sizing, loading assets)
o Organize videos on YouTube into playlists and create connection points to product spotlights or website
o Competitive monitor/tracking
o Sort, organize, and retag products in our Asset Manager (Bynder) to improve usability and searchability by internal teams
o If candidate has experience with Creative tools, light image editing and sizing duties, with final review and approval by the Senior Graphic Designer
o Assist in the process of review and approval (using QuickReviewer) for the catalog build-out
Recent student or current student who self identifies as members of an underrepresented group
Strong organization and project management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Experience with Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is a must
Experiences with Creative tools (Adobe Creative Suite) is a plus
Eager to contribute thoughts, ideas, and perspectives
Open to feedback and instruction
Percussion background is a plus
This role will be remote for the summer. Engagements with supervisors and the team will mostly be virtual.
Hours and Compensation
Monday to Thursday 8 hours per day/32/wk @ $16 hr.
