Exponent Partners is seeking an exceptional and experienced Senior Salesforce Consultant to join our Philanthropy Team. We work with a variety of philanthropic organizations, including private, family, and community foundations, to successfully design, develop & deliver high-value projects that help them advance their mission, vision, impact, programs and operations. Exponent Partners supports funders in developing and strengthening their strategies to move to a more just and equitable world.
Deep knowledge of the philanthropic sector is a must; prior experience as a grantmaker (in an independent, family, community, or public foundation context) is strongly desired. In addition to direct client work, the Senior Consultant will meaningfully contribute to Exponent Partners’ internal and external thought leadership.
The Sr. Consultant must possess exceptional presentation and communication skills (both written and verbal); the demonstrated capacity to analyze complex problems and generate thoughtful solutions; the ability to present complex technical concepts to non-technical resources; and a history of successfully stewarding trusted client relationships.
The successful candidate will have a high degree of social and emotional intelligence and a commitment to respectful collaboration. This individual will be flexible, self-directed, work well in team settings with diverse staff, and must be able to produce and deliver high quality deliverables in a fast-paced dynamic and demanding environment all while maintaining a focus and commitment to “customer success”.
Under the supervision of the Director of Client Services- Philanthropy, Fundraising & Education, this position includes the following responsibilities:
Consulting with clients where you will:
Plan and facilitate meetings with leadership staff, project team members and other key stakeholders
Oversee or prepare written materials and presentations for clients
Build, sustain & grow productive, trusted partner relationships with clients
Communicate with clients to understand and analyze their business needs
Review, analyze, and evaluate client’s current business systems & documentation to understand their needs
Document potential solutions to address client needs, with estimates provided for preferred solutions
Facilitate discovery sessions to successfully capture requirements
Designing Salesforce Solutions where you will:
Document complex business processes (workflows) and requirements (user stories, use cases, wireframes)
Create, both individually and with the project team, quality deliverables
Implementing Salesforce.com solutions, where you will:
Collaborate with other Consultants, Developers, Solution Architects and Project Managers on the successful implementation of Salesforce solutions
Follow advanced architecture, solution, and platform-specific technical best practices
Provide hands-on Salesforce.com (and Salesforce.com-related technology) customization and configuration following requirements and solution design
Deliver trainings to client testers, system administrators and power users
Configure Salesforce and add-on solutions to meet approved client requirements
Manage your allocated work budget & schedule in conjunction with the Project Manager
Document knowledge-transfer for the client and Customer Success team
Review proposed architecture, design and configurations of team members
Contributing to Thought Leadership, where you will:
Author articles, blogs, e-letters, and other written materials reflecting wisdom/knowledge gleaned from philanthropic sector engagements
Present at philanthropy sector conferences, webinars, and other peer forums
Develop knowledge base on Salesforce.com and related technology solutions
Minimum of a BS/BA degree
Experience working in diverse communities and across social, economic, and cultural differences
3+ years of relevant work experience in the philanthropic sector/consulting experience
3+ years experience with Salesforce.com customization, configuration & consulting
Required Salesforce.com consultant certifications:
Experience with Salesforce-related technologies such as the Nonprofit Success Pack, FormAssembly, Conga, Drawloop, foundationConnect; GMS, SKUID
Salesforce.com Non-profit Cloud Consulting certifications
