The Associate, Research & Racial Equity (the Associate) is a non-exempt administrative position supporting the work of the Thought Leadership team. Reporting to the Senior Director, Global Partnerships & Equity, the Associate performs research, writing, and operational tasks that inform our racial equity partnership development and implementation, coalition projects, and thought leadership outputs.
The ideal candidate is excited to support and work alongside a team that uses data and research to inform partnership development and thought leadership, centering a racial equity analysis lens. They will be eager to learn how research projects support our organizational partnership and Thought Leadership outcomes.
We prioritize applicants who demonstrate they understand the benefits diversity brings to a professional social entrepreneurship community. The successful candidate will be an equity-minded individual committed to collaborating with an internal team and external community partners who are also committed to closing equity gaps.
Thought Leadership and Research Support:
Read, summarize, and synthesize existing writings on topics important to our partnership and thought leadership work, as assigned.
Monitor the field of social innovation, social justice, and philanthropy to stay current on DEI and racial equity programs, research, and developments in the industry
Coordinate and schedule interviews for research participants
Support content development (outlining, writing, copy-editing support) for Echoing Green’s Thought Leadership topics: racial equity, partnership learnings, and co-written Fellow reports and, more.
Support thought leadership partnership development by identifying and maintaining a current list of organizations domestically and internationally that work at the intersection of justice and innovation.
Racial Equity Implementation Support:
Support and provide an equity lens to programmatic and partnership initiatives across the organization
Support the documentation of Echoing Green’s Racial Equity Transformational journey for blogs, publications, and constituent communications.
Maintain and update departmental contracts, documents, and procedures
Manage and maintain partnership process and procedure documentation, including MOU’s, partnership tracking, and program administrative changes/updates
Provide data support in Salesforce, including updating contact records, creating campaigns, and exporting reports
Attend and take detailed notes at Knowledge Team meetings and other sub-team meetings, as directed
Provide project management support as needed
Base Salary: $50,000 +

3-5 years of work experience
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Excellent written and verbal communications, able to effectively synthesize data and share results and research findings thoughtfully and deliberately.
Strong editing skills
Systems thinker with experience in research explicitly related to racial justice, racial equity, and antiracism
A commitment to racial justice and racial equity
Discretion to handle confidential information
A persuasive communicator
Exceptional use of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Google Suite (Docs, Sheets)
Excitement about learning Echoing Green's core database tools: Salesforce, Tableau, FormAssembly, SurveyMonkey Apply, and Conga
Strong organizational and project management skills
Collaborative, flexible, and well-suited to participating in an entrepreneurial, collegial environment
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish effective working relationships at all levels, both internally and externally.
