Senior Clinical Programmer
Job Summary
The Senior Clinical Programmer is responsible for executing the data analysis programming functions in support of the clinical research project. This individual contributes to the development of SAS programs in support of clinical data analysis performed by statisticians and clinical groups, including creating data sets to produce data analysis tables and lists.

Responsibilities

Sr Clinical Programmer is responsible for executing the data analysis programming functions in support of the clinical research project.
* Independently develop/validate programs that generate analysis datasets based on ADaM specifications
* Prepare/QC ADaM datasets documentation: Define.xml, Reviewer's Guide and analysis metadata report
* Independently develop/validate programs that generate tables and listings specified in the protocol or the Statistical Analysis Plan (SAP)
* Works with team members to review output and confers with other scientific and technical personnel to resolve problems of intent, inaccuracy, or feasibility of computer processing. Determines the necessity for modifications or reruns.
* Support development of technical programming specifications for ADaM standards
* Contributes to design of program templates
* Works with team members to develops new subroutines or expands program to simplify statement, programming, or coding of future problems.
* Documents project work processes and validation report

Required Knowledge and Skills
* Excellent knowledge of SAS programming
* Strong knowledge of relational database structures
* Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
* Be flexible and result-oriented
* Strong computer skills with demonstrated experience in developing statistical base programming and database management

Educational Qualifications
* Bachelors degree or equivalent + 5 years professional work experience in the pharmaceutical industry
