Job Description
Administrative Assistant
The Office of Student Services in the School of Nursing has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Administrative Assistant to work in Coral Gables.

The Administrative Assistant in the School of Nursing and Health Studies (SONHS) Office of Student Services (OSS) reports to the Executive Director of Student/ Services and serves as one of the main liaisons between OSS and other University constituents.

DEPARTMENT SPECIFIC FUNCTIONS:
* Triaging general issues
* Maintaining the folder system
* Handling the administrative needs of the UGASAC and GASAC committees
* Managing various OSS and SONHS events
* Serving as the primary contact for out-of-state NCLEX-RN applications and all degree verifications
* Providing direct support to the Executive Director

MINIMUM QUALICATIONS:
* High School Diploma required; Bachelorís degree preferred in Business, Communication, Education, English, Health Science, Nursing, Public Health, Psychology, or a related field
* Experience: 1 year of experience; 3-4 years of experience preferred. Experience in Higher Education preferred. Any appropriate combination of education and related work experience, including experience as a student employee, will be considered

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Publisher, and Word
- Basic knowledge of data collection, entry, and reporting
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Strong written communication skills
- Ability to enter and verify information accurately and efficiently
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment by using good multi-tasking and problem-solving skills
- The applicant must be able to be self-directed as well as collaborative to work effectively as a member of the OSS team
