About This Position
The Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center at the University of Miami, Miller School of Medicine, has an exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Associate to be involved with the Myeloma Program and the Experimental Therapeutics Program. This position will include analyses of large whole genome, targeted and RNA sequencing data from patients with multiple myeloma and related precursor conditions, to inform diagnostic and therapeutic strategies. The research will focus on cancer patients affected by multiple myeloma at the diagnosis, at relapse after novel therapies within clinical trials and patients with related precursor entities (i.e. MGUS and smoldering myeloma) to identify the one that will progress and the one that will have a stable clinical course. The postdoctoral researcher will work within a team of cutting-edge research, including translational, clinical, and computational investigators working in cancer genomics and in its application into clinical practice.
* Ph.D. or other doctoral degree in a biological science or health discipline
* Skill in collecting, organizing, and analyzing data.
* Ability to recognize, analyze, and solve a variety of problems.
* Ability to exercise sound judgment in making critical decisions.
