UHealth Tower - Perioperative Services is currently seeking a Manager, Strategic Planning. The incumbent in this position manages a team of analysts that use business data and statistical methods to provide insight into business performance and suggest area and method
s of improving operations and leveraging the organization. This role Implements and oversees the analytical approaches and methodologies used to formulate recommendations and presents insights and recommendations to senior leadership for decision making and strategic planning.
Develops and maintains a deep understanding of strategic issues facing UHealth through analyzing trends, horizon scanning and building relationships with colleagues across the organization.
Interacts with all levels of the organization ensuring a positive image is conveyed to internal UM Health and external partners and stakeholders.
Promotes the development of strategic objectives and associated metrics to allow a ‘strategic view’ of organizational progress Manages, manipulates, and analyzes multiple complex financial, operational and strategic data sets and data sources.
Analyzes and synthesizes financial and strategic data accurately and interpr
ets and presents in understandable and actionable format.
Undertakes quantitative and qualitative assessments, and conducts primary research as appropriate, to support the development of evidence-based strategy.
Uses various software and applications, to include Excel, PowerPoint and other strategy related software to gather, extract and interpret high level data.
Manages and influences the formulation and delivery of strategic projects and initiatives across UHealth.
Prepares project design and analytics approach to work for review and input by strategy leadership.
Manages multiple work streams/projects efficiently.
Synthesizes analytics and key insights into presentation-ready pages/documents.
Presents findings to senior leaders and large audiences, including UHealth’s executive leadership team.
Demonstrates high emotional intelligence with deftness in navigating c
omplex organizations with multiple stake holders.
Contributes to team’s work and culture, supporting colleagues and playing a vocal part in team meetings.
Manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs.
Has full authority for personnel actions.
Ensures appropriate staffing levels so that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhere to approved budgets.
Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
