We are currently recruiting a faculty member for the Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) position. The primary focus of the position is to teach content in the PMHNP program. This is a full time 12-month appointment.
The incoming faculty will teach and maintain an active clinical practice. The combination of teaching and practice is a fundamental component of our educational mission. Responsibilities include classroom, online and simulation teaching, mentoring, advising and precepting students, assisting with clinical placements and student oversight, and participation in program activities and committees to ensure stated program goals are achieved.

• MSN (if masters prepared must be open to pursuing a doctoral degree)
• PMHNP practice experience
• Active PMHNP national certification
• Clinical or didactic teaching experience within the last 5 years
• Must be eligible for licensure in New Mexico
• Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, DNSc, DRPH, EdD)
• Experience working with rural and/or underserved populations
• Three years of PMHNP practice experience
• Experience in clinical preceptorship
• A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities
