General Summary
The School of Teaching and Learning at Illinois State University (ISU) is pleased to announce a nine-month, tenured or tenure-track position in Early Childhood Education with a Mathematics Focus. The appointment for this position will commence on August 16, 2022.

The School of Teaching and Learning is committed to increasing the diversity of the campus community. ISU recognizes that a diverse faculty, staff, and student body enriches the educational experiences of the entire campus and greater community.

Responsibilities of this position include teaching undergraduate courses in early childhood mathematics, as well as general early childhood education and clinical courses; teaching graduate courses consistent with expertise and program needs; producing high quality scholarship; and working in collaborative partnerships with local school professionals. The Early Childhood Education program is seeking faculty who have demonstrated a commitment to social justice, cultural diversity, and inclusion. Commitment to such issues is integral to this position.

Required Qualifications:
1.Terminal degree or ABD in a relevant field with a completion date prior to August 16, 2022.
2.Minimum of three years teaching experience in preschool through 2nd grade.
3.Demonstrated potential for scholarly research and publication.
4.Ability to teach early childhood mathematics courses as well as general early childhood education courses, including clinical courses.
5.State law mandates demonstrable oral proficiency in the English language as a requirement for this position.

Salary:
Salary is competitive and will depend upon qualifications and experience.
