SRI International is looking for a Financial Analyst that will report directly to the Director of FP&A. The Financial Analyst will play an important role in taking the finance organization to a higher standard of performance. They will partner across SRI to create and measure against/report on short and long-term financial projections, act in a financial and operational senior level support capacity to other corporate functions to drive sound business decision-making, enhance operating efficiencies, and review/monitor/analyze revenue and expenses for profit improvement opportunities.
The work location for this position will be either Menlo Park, CA, Arlington, VA, Princeton, NJ, or Remote.
Performance Measurement – Evaluates financial performance, including but not limited to, creating key performance indicators, budget vs. actual flux, financial statement analysis, identifying and understanding trends / drivers, and benchmarking.
Financial Reporting – Develops management reporting for Executive Management / Board of Directors / internal stakeholders, operationalize product profitability reporting, etc.
Budgeting / Forecasting / Planning – Leads budgeting / forecasting and long-term planning processes, identifying risks and opportunities & ensuring alignment with strategy.
Financial Systems – Automates and contributes to the innovation of key processes. Executes implementation solutions that conform to best practices.
Provides support to Government Compliance team as needed.
Ad Hoc Analyses – Perform ad-hoc analysis and projects as assigned.
Bachelor's degree in Finance or Business Administration and minimum 3 years of finance related experiences. This includes experience with budgeting, forecasting, and corporate financial and performance reporting.
U.S. citizenship or permanent residency required.
Must have established expertise in GAAP accounting, strong knowledge of FAR, CAS and government contracting requirements and DCAA auditing standards.
Experience with Costpoint and Cognos required. Workday Adaptive Planning preferred.
Knowledge of industry practices, advanced techniques, and solutions within a professional discipline to develop new standards, processes, and solutions.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with internal leadership.
Advanced skills in Excel and exceptional analytical and research skills including experience analyzing and manipulating large amounts of financial, competitive, and transactional data.
