Job Description
Faculty Position in Cancer Genomics
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) seeks to hire a faculty member that will lead an innovative research program in the area of Cancer Genomics. An ideal candidate for this position will apply the latest innovations in genomics technology to elucidate fundamental principles of tumor evolution, metastasis, or therapy resistance, with the goal of improving outcomes for cancer patients. An inventor of new genomics methods would also be an exceptional candidate for this position. Preference will be given to applicants at the Assistant Professor level, but outstanding candidates at all career stages will be considered. This faculty hire will join the CSHL Cancer Center, a dynamic and collaborative group of investigators focused on research that reveals mechanisms underlying the biology of cancer and advances new strategies to diagnose or treat this disease. Members of the CSHL Cancer Center gain access to human tumor specimens and translational research opportunities through an existing alliance with the nearby Northwell Health system.

CSHL is a world-renowned research and educational institution with programs in cancer, neuroscience, plant biology, genomics, and quantitative biology. Located on the North Shore of Long Island, thirty miles from Manhattan, the Laboratory has a rich and successful research environment rooted in interdisciplinary collaboration. In addition, CSHL has an innovative graduate school that attracts outstanding students each year.
