Assistant Professor- Clinical-Counseling Psychology/Women's, Gender, & Sexuality Studies Program
General Summary
The Department of Psychology seeks applicants for a nine-month, tenure-track position at the Assistant Professor level in Clinical-Counseling Psychology. This individual will hold a joint appointment in the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program. Area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to research that investigates the measurement and treatment of psychological issues related to sex, gender and sexuality, and the manner in which these variables interact with race, ethnicity, culture, and education. The Department of Psychology is committed to increasing the diversity of the campus community. Candidates who have experience working with a diverse range of faculty, staff, and students, and who can contribute to the climate of inclusivity are especially welcomed to apply. The successful applicant will be expected to teach applied clinical-counseling courses for both graduate and undergraduate students, supervise Masters theses, and teach at least two courses per academic year in the Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies Program. The position begins August 16, 2022.

Additional Information
The department has over 700 undergraduate majors, 130 graduate students, and 27 full-time faculty members. Required qualifications for the position include a Ph.D. (or ABD, with Ph.D. completed within a year of start date) in Clinical or Counseling Psychology or closely related field; enthusiasm for teaching at all levels based on department needs; clinical experience with a variety of populations, and a record indicating the foundation of a strong program of scholarship.
