Outreach Specialist – Psychology 57 (A. Harkness)
The College of Arts, Psychology Department has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Outreach Specialist – Psychology 57 (A. Harkness) to work in Miami, FL.

Job duties of this position include:
Identifying creative and effective strategies for promoting enrollment in each of our ongoing studies.
Conduct active recruitment (find and approach potential participants), passive recruitment (post information about our studies in LGBTQ community venues), outreach (present to community agencies about our current studies, maintain relationships with community partners), and online outreach (manage the HPAC lab’s social media - Facebook, Twitter, Instagram; conduct online and app-based outreach).
Conduct brief surveys by phone and in community settings, including bars, clubs, venues, and STD testing sites.
Participate in trainings relevant to the communities served by our research.
Develop professional relationships with mental health providers, researchers, and community members.
Some additional research-related tasks as needed.


Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

Minimum 3years of experience
Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes:

Ability to maintain effective interpersonal relationships.
Skill in completing assignments accurately and with attention to detail.
Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work under pressure while meeting deadlines.
Commitment to the University’s core values.
Ability to work independently and/or in a collaborative environment.
Proficiency in computer software (i.e. Microsoft Office)
