Job Description
Executive Director, Ambulatory Service (Optimization)
The Executive Director, Ambulatory Operations (Optimization) provides direction, motivation, and supervision for all UHealth Ambulatory Optimization Services including ambulatory expansion, operational standardization, space management/allocation, and the development of relevant policies and procedures. In collaboration with the AVP, Ambulatory Operations, the Executive Director of Ambulatory Operations (Optimization) will be responsible to lead the organization into a data‐driven, team‐oriented culture that embraces patient safety and quality and continuous improvement. This position ensures the development and implementation of key strategic initiatives for all UHealth’s ambulatory operations and serves as a strategic leader who is attuned to
the ever‐changing needs of the healthcare industry.
In collaboration with the AVP, Ambulatory Operations and other key stakeholders develops and executes on UHealth’s Ambulatory Strategic Plan
Standardizes the clinical operations of all UHealth ambulatory sites, ensuring a world‐class patient experience.
Assists in developing and executing on the UHealth ambulatory structure and operating model, inclusive of setting and monitoring actionable KPIs, Metrics, Scorecards and Dashboards that are rooted in best practice.
Utilize process improvement methodologies, materials, and methods to match specific ambulatory organizational needs as outlined by ambulatory leadership and adapt them to use in the execution of improving ambulatory operations.
Develops and executes key processes including detailed work plan/timeline development, gap analysis, analytics design, implementation planning, and support.
Actively partakes in the development and deployment of the Care Model for UHealth providers and APP’s, ensuring alignment with UHealth’s ambulatory operational needs, patient experience, and space availability.
Monitors processes and provides relevant guidance on optimization.
Act as an operationslink between IT and Clinical Leadersto optimize Epic and other interfaced platforms fostering improved provider and patient experience.
Will navigate across IT and operational teams to lead successful optimization of the Epic system including as needed expansions.
Leads assigned projects and initiates, in conjunction with ambulatory leadership, the development and execution of annual Ambulatory strategic goals and objectives, and ensure alignment to these goals.
Collaborates on strategic initiatives, as assigned (i.e., Finance, Nursing operations, HR, IT, etc.).
Provides solutions for customers’ (internal and external) needs and issues prompt resolutions.
Leads new business development and strategy deployment, as assigned.
Interacts closely with other units across the UHealth network to ensure successful implementations.
Works cross‐functionally and interfaces with all levels of the ambulatory division.
Lead and develop people, across multiple ambulatory locations, by providing a positive work
Qualifications & Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
Minimum 7 years of relevant experience
