Finance Analyst, FP&A

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position offers the right person a unique opportunity to support and engage with Sales Finance organization in various analysis, reporting and projects that help facilitate key decisions related to sales and trade promotion management. The successful individual will be a self-starter who will take initiative, can learn quickly, exhibit strong prioritization, execution and strong data management skills. An intermediate finance or accounting background is required.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Sales and Trade Reporting
    • Own and drive necessary conversations, communications and changes on existing established reports or build new reports in the sales and trade management area
    • Own and drive periodic execution, maintenance and troubleshooting of existing financial models and Trade Rate Report
    • Proactively identify and propose enhancement to existing Reporting tools
    • Execute Trade Variance Analysis 
    • Work proactively with the Osprey COC and Kantar to discover/ prioritize any fixes for system related bugs to ultimately produce accurate reporting
    • Execute Training to Field Finance team area to increase the use of reporting tools
    • Coordinate with division and field finance managers to consolidate sales targets, trade budgets and trade gap assessments 
  • Support compliance reporting
    • Drive reporting and communications to ensure compliance to promotion maintenance guidelines
    • Reconcile P&L and balance sheet to ensure integrity of the systems and financial reporting
  • Work though new business acquisitions or divestitures from a process and reporting integration stand point
  • Ad Hoc Reporting and Analysis as required
  • Additional projects as required
  • Continuously drive system enhancements and automation

Working Relationships

  • Establish and maintain relationships with Sales Finance team, field Account Managers, Master Data and Osprey COC.

EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-4 years of experience in Business or Sales Analysis in accounting or Finance area is required.
  • Bachelors degree preferred. Experience in Consumer Goods company/industry preferred.
  • Intermediate/Advanced in Excel is required. Beginner/ Intermediate proficiency in SAP preferred.

  • Demonstrated critical thinking and analytical problem solving skills.
  • Superior execution skills in a changing environment and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong data management skills, and critically important to be able to deliver the message to non-finance professionals.
  • Ability to put together large sets of data for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Excellent inter-personal communication and the ability to influence others; negotiation skills a plus.
  • Self-starter and shows initiative and quickly learns the specifics of the customer and sales finance.
  • Understanding of the financial statements in the context of sales and trade spend
  • Ability to work in teams and independently.
