Key Responsibilities:

• Provide thought leadership, management, and execution in the delivery of strategic and complex initiatives aimed at driving data value realization in partnership with Data Science Leadership
• Partner closely with Data Science Portfolio Management team, Analytics & Insights team and Data Science Innovation team, lead the planning and prioritization of opportunities for value creation
• Partner with Data Science, Therapeutic Areas and Global Functions to create a data culture for the organization
• Responsible for developing and executing data strategy and roadmap that will drive data accessibility, adoption, utilization and development
• Partner with Data Science Innovation team, J&J Innovation Center, Business Development and JJT to evaluate, select cutting-edge data science technologies, solutions supporting Data Science portfolio 
• Closely partner with Data Platform & Privacy leadership team to develop and execute data science technology roadmap

Qualifications:

• Masters or PhD in a quantitative or scientific field is required
• Strong business acumen in pharmaceutical and /or Data Science, Digital space in a company ranging from start-ups to consulting firms with established Data Science practices or large Fortune 500 companies.
• Experience leading change initiatives in a sizable organization(s)
• Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams in the analysis and synthesis of complex data towards the goal of building and executing on key strategies
• Strong working experience with pre-clinical data, clinical data and real-world data is required
• Track of record in building data strategy to making business impact
• Strong background in data analysis, solution development and architecture
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and written skills.
• Highly developed negotiating and influencing skills
• Energy, enthusiasm and drive to create a positive working relationship with the business and the team
• Experience in managing and leading a team, showing understanding of different cultures to achieve global business objectives
• Ability to multi-task, incorporating good organizational skills and flexibility, to prioritize work and deliver the maximum business value
• Ability to build strong networks across the business to develop sponsorship at all levels of the business

• Travel – Less than 25% to conferences and key internal meetings
